Overview until now!

So today I took all my cardboard plates with the images to the attic and laid them down in the order of the complete image.

As you can see I still have 2 completely empty boards. Those are images without pink, orange and green. But they do have blue and...
Next up is Blue!  So next time I will have a piece of every image.

I hope I can start on Blue soon.

Green is done! (or at least kind of)

It's done!
Almost all green pieces are put down, I have some left of the white border with tine green pieces and some (8 to be exact) with other colors too. But these will be put in later.

For the most part the proces was the same as with the pink and orange pieces.
The only difference is that there wasn't a clear light and dark version of the green.
As you can see here, there are differences, but I found it was more than two and they were really hard to distinguish. So I didn't I just immediately started sorting by shape as I wrote in my previous blog.

I quickly got fed up with the fact that I needed "normal" pieces to connect the strings of "specials". So after a couple of days I decided to just spread out ALL the pieces. I had cardboard everywhere!
Nobody was allowed in the room because I didn't want the plates to get bumped.

At some point it got confusing, because I had all these pieces put together, but I had no idea what image they belonged too. I then decided to ignore twin pieces for a while and that helped!

To get rid of these puzzled twin pieces, I had to spread out all the images with green in it.
That made my room turn in an obstacle course where you really couldn't bump into something!
This is a panorama shot of it

In the end this is what I'm left with:
Could be better, but next week I'll lay all my cardboard plates with all the pieces of all the colors I already put together next to each other, maybe I will be able to put down a bit more pieces.

And we are off again!

It's been how long??
9 months! Oeps. I was planning to do green in Februari :) Well, I'm starting now!

I actually took out all the green pieces a couple of weeks ago and sorted them.

But since my parents came to visit I didn't spread them out and start puzzling yet.
But I couldn't resist putting some together :)

Today I planned on getting a good start, but I didn't get really far.
Turns out green will make me start 8 new images. And... I didn't have any big cardboard pieces to put the images on.  The card board that I use to put the sorted pieces on are to small for the whole image.

So, I e-mailed the trusted Spooglers e-mail list and went for a drive in the evening. So far I have 9 extra boards and still some cardboard in the car :) Yeay for for the Spooglers. I knew it would be easy to find some big cardboard, the people are always helpful and there are always new people who just moved and have just bought furniture at IKEA :)

So in the end, this is what I got done:
9 pieces connected to existing images and a bunch of identical ones.

I haven't spread out ALL the pieces yet. Just the "special" ones.  like these:

and all the ones that have another color than green and black.
and already this is the result:

For now I will try to put down as many "specials" as I can before I get fed up with not connected pieces and I spread out all the other pieces. (Probably won't take long :)
